Celebrating 12 Years of Half-Samplethon Fun with the Disney Nerds Podcast!
What an incredible night at Epcot! The Disney Nerds Podcast crew, along with a fantastic turnout of friends and listeners, celebrated their 12th annual Half-Samplethon, and it was an absolute blast. The energy was electric as we all gathered at 6:00 PM, ready to embark on a culinary and conversational journey around World Showcase. This beloved tradition brings together Disney fans from all walks of life, united by their shared passion and a desire for some good old-fashioned Epcot fun.
This year, our adventure took us down the Canada side, a perfect route to sample some of the incredible offerings from the Food & Wine Festival.
As we strolled through each country, we made sure to stop and savor the moments. It wasn't just about the delicious drinks and snacks; it was about the camaraderie, the laughter, and the fantastic conversations with fellow Disney enthusiasts. The Half-Samplethon is truly a unique way to experience Epcot, combining the excitement of the festival with the joy of community.
The co-hosts did an amazing job keeping everyone engaged with their signature trivia questions, and the prizes were a fun bonus! It's always great to see the passion and knowledge of the Disney Nerds community shine through. These stops weren't just for refreshments; they were opportunities to connect, share Disney memories, and challenge each other with tricky trivia, making every step of the journey an interactive experience.
Our journey culminated in America, where we found our usual spot at the big planter near the American Adventure exhibit. It's the perfect vantage point to relax and chat as we watched the band and eagerly awaited Epcot's breathtaking nighttime spectacular.
It’s a tradition that truly brings everyone together, creating lasting memories as we all gaze up at the stunning display of fireworks and projections, a perfect end to our Epcot adventure.
And just when you thought the fun was over, the night continued! After Epcot closed its gates, a dedicated group of Disney Nerds headed over to the legendary Yehaa Bob Jackson's show at Port Orleans Riverside.
What a way to cap off an already incredible evening! Bob's high-energy piano playing, hilarious jokes, and engaging sing-alongs provided the perfect post-Epcot entertainment, ensuring that the laughter and good times extended well into the night. It was the perfect grand finale to the Disney Nerds Podcast 12th annual Half-Samplethon! To all of our friends over the last 12 years, THANK YOU for such a great time.
