Sip, Savor, and Celebrate: St. Patrick’s Day Fun at Raglan Road
When people think about holidays at Walt Disney World, celebrations like Christmas or Halloween usually come to mind. But in my opinion, life is far too short not to celebrate even the smaller holidays, and St. Patrick's Day is the perfect excuse to add a little extra fun to your Disney day.
While it may not always be considered one of the “big” holidays, there’s something undeniably joyful about wearing a bit of green, enjoying great food, and soaking up a festive atmosphere. And if there’s one place that knows how to make any occasion feel special, it’s Walt Disney World.
Last year, my family and I were lucky enough to be visiting during the days leading up to St. Patrick’s Day, and we quickly discovered just how festive the celebrations can be. Of course, no celebration, big or small, is complete without great food and drinks, and that’s something Walt Disney World certainly does well. If you’re looking to embrace the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day, there’s no better place to start than with a little Irish fare.
For my family, one spot in particular has become a must-do every time we visit Disney. A trip to Raglan Road Irish Pub at Disney Springs is practically a tradition for us. From the moment you step inside, the lively atmosphere, incredible Irish music, and authentic dishes make it feel like a little slice of Ireland right in the middle of Disney magic.
One of the things that truly makes Raglan Road so special is the live Irish dancers. Their high energy Irish step dancing brings so much excitement and liveliness to the pub. The performances are absolutely mesmerizing, and every time we’re there the entire audience seems to get swept up in the moment - clapping along, tapping their feet, and cheering as the dancers move across the stage with incredible speed and precision. If you’d like to be right in the middle of the action, you can always request a table closer to the stage (which we always do), but even if you’re seated a little farther away, the music and performances still fill the entire restaurant with energy.
Another fun detail we learned from our waiter during our last visit is just how talented the performers at Raglan Road really are. Many of the dancers are former performers from world famous Irish dance productions like Riverdance and Lord of the Dance, and it truly shows in their incredible skill and stage presence.
During the Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations, the atmosphere becomes even more festive. Raglan Road typically hosts several days of celebrations leading up to and including March 17th, often featuring live bands. Some of them even flown in directly from Ireland to join the festivities. It’s an incredible celebration filled with music, dancing, and a whole lot of Irish spirit.
If you’re planning to visit during this time, I highly recommend making a reservation for the days leading up to the holiday. We visited the pub the weekend before Saint Patrick’s Day last year and it was already incredibly busy in the best possible way. There was a sea of green everywhere and the energy was absolutely contagious!
One important thing to know is that Raglan Road does things a little differently on March 17th itself. Saint Patrick’s Day is the only day of the year that the pub does not accept reservations. Instead, entry is first-come, first-served, and the doors open early at 9:00am to kick off the celebration. There is also a $20 cover charge for guests 18 and over, with live entertainment, music, and festivities continuing throughout the day.
Another detail that makes Raglan Road so unique is the story behind the pub itself. Much of the furniture was actually crafted in Ireland, shipped over, and reconstructed piece by piece in Florida. Knowing that parts of the pub were built by Irish craftsmen and brought across the ocean adds such an authentic and special touch to the entire experience.
Of course, a visit to Raglan Road wouldn’t be complete without enjoying some of the incredible food and drinks. One dish I always order is their gluten free fish and chips, and honestly, they are the best I’ve ever had! The fish is perfectly crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside, and you would never guess it’s gluten free. Even my husband, Jason, who doesn’t eat gluten free, prefers this version and will happily order it over the regular fish and chips every time we visit. Before our meal even arrives, we’re always treated to one of Jason’s favorite little touches at Raglan Road, a basket of their warm Irish brown soda bread. Served with a rich Guinness reduction and olive oil for dipping. The bread is hearty and rustic, and that slightly sweet Guinness dip is absolutely delicious. Honestly, it’s the perfect way to start the meal while you’re waiting for a plate of their famous fish and chips to arrive.

And if you have room for dessert, the bread pudding is a must. Their famous Ger’s Bread & Butter Pudding is warm, rich, and comforting, topped with a decadent caramel sauce and creamy vanilla ice cream that slowly melts over the top. The serving is huge! It’s the kind of dessert that’s perfect for sharing - but you might not want to!
If you’re just passing through Disney Springs and can’t grab a table, there are still ways to soak up the atmosphere at Raglan Road. There is also an outdoor bar and a convenient walk-up window where you can grab drinks and quick bites while enjoying the music and lively surroundings outside the pub.
Tucked just outside Raglan Road, Paddy’s Bar is a small but charming outdoor spot that adds even more Irish spirit to the experience. Located near the Shop for Ireland store, this cozy bar offers a handful of seats and a relaxed place to grab a drink while enjoying the lively atmosphere outside the pub. Guests can choose from a selection of Irish draft beers like Guinness, Harp, Smithwick’s, and Kilkenny, along with craft brews, Irish inspired cocktails, and even a taste from Raglan Road’s impressive whiskey collection. Jason usually grabs a Kilkenny while I raise my glass and toast with a Magners Irish Cider. Magners is a traditional dry cider from Ireland and is so delicious and served on draft. Paddy’s Bar is named in honor of Irish poet Patrick Kavanagh, who wrote the poem Raglan Road. This little bar is a fun stop for anyone looking to sip something authentically Irish while celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day at Walt Disney World!

Just steps away, you’ll also find Cookes of Dublin, the quick service take-out window connected to Raglan Road. This outdoor spot is perfect if you’re looking to grab a quick bite without sitting down for a full meal. The menu features some of Raglan Road’s most popular dishes, including their famous fish and chips, along with other Irish inspired favorites that are easy to enjoy while strolling through Disney Springs. It’s a great option when the pub is busy but you still want to enjoy a taste of Ireland during your visit. We’ve even grabbed food here to enjoy while wandering Disney Springs, and it’s such a fun way to keep the celebration going without missing a moment of the atmosphere.
Whether you’re tapping your feet to the lively Irish music, cheering on the incredible dancers, savoring a Guinness or a Magners Irish Cider, or indulging in a warm slice of Ger’s Bread & Butter Pudding, Raglan Road Irish Pub and its outdoor spots like Paddy’s Bar and Cookes of Dublin truly capture the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day. There’s something magical about celebrating this holiday at Disney Springs, even if you’re just stopping by for a quick bite or a festive drink, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported straight to Ireland for the day. So grab a bit of green, raise a glass, and join in the fun, because at Disney, every day can be magical!
